1910. That’s when this studio was built. That’s more than 100 years ago. Before the Titanic. Before World War I. Of course, when they built it they didn’t know it was a studio. They thought they’d built a factory for transforming raw cotton into fire-retardant fabrics. And they did just that for about 84 years. Next came a few years of hand-wringing and a few more of neglect and abandonment. In 2007, they finally turned it over to Jason Ivany. He set it back on track and transformed it into the daylight studio it was always meant to be just before the 100 year mark.

This venue is amazing. I can't say enough about its positive energy and its creative staff. We hosted our wedding there and the whole Ambient+ team did their best to make our special day spectacular. We had very particular ideas and every detail was given attention. If you can dream it, this venue can make it happen. The space is a beautiful blank canvas for you to realize your vision. You can bring in your own vendors and design the space however you want. When the sun sets and the lights overhead twinkle, everything feels magical. Special shout out to Jason who seemed to say yes to everything we asked for and to Dara who took extra gentle care of our families. Really, thank you for everything!

Beautiful venue! Team was hard to communicate with, but I had a wedding planner so it wasn't anything I had to worry about closer to time. Staff was stand off-ish and didn't speak to me on my wedding day when I said hello. I was informed they would be taking the temperatures of my guest but they did not- very disappointing considering covid. Overall, my wedding was great, but communication and friendliness could be improved.

Recently had my wedding here and it was beautiful. What attracted me to the venue was the style of the place. Very rustic but industrial. So 5/5 on the looks but where I think this place lacks is communication and professionalism. Jason the main guy I spoke with was awesome! He even called several times before the event to check in. The day before, during, and after he was very kind. Paul I believe his name is was also very kind and helpful. My problem came with one of the staff who was rude during set up and made me feel uncomfortable to even ask simple questions like what time they planned on setting up the round tables which I believe was reasonable since my help wanted to set up decor. I was not trying to rush but come on...The next issue came with no communication. In the contract that I signed over 1 1/2 ago stated that the place must be left the way we found it. This is fair and obviously I agreed to it but on your wedding day the last thing you’re thinking of is the contract. Through a mini argument the bridesmaids were about to clean up but Paul just told them to leave and that he would do it instead. This was very awesome of Paul but I only wish he would have just let them clean up or reminded us 2 hours earlier so we could have had a big group help. Due to the staff cleaning up a list of things went missing. This was very disappointing and when asking the venue about the missing items nothing was found so either it got thrown away or taken. Which I understand the frustration of having to clean but my bridesmaids were going to do it so they could have been more careful and respectful of our things. Jason was kind enough to ask all staff and give us details on what they said but still nothing was found besides our sanitizer. Also when speaking to many, many, many guest, I found that there was no uniformed police officer. One guest who works for Atlanta PD went looking and couldn’t find him/her. This wouldn’t have been a big deal but again no communication. The place is beautiful so on that front it’s worth the headache BUT make sure you ask questions and really make them accountable.

We had our wedding at Ambient in June and we could not have been more thrilled with the space! It worked perfectly for our 100ish guest wedding and looked like a dream come true. We loved that they don't require specific vendors or packages, allowing us to make our wedding very personal and perfect for us- while staying in our budget. The staff was very communicative and laid back through our entire planning process- adding and removing rental items as our vision evolved. I loved that there was enough space for the whole bridal party to get ready, separately, without running into each other and ruining our first look. It was amazing to see my dream wedding in real life in this space. I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else and can't say thank you enough!

We got married here in April and it was awesome because I got to personalize the space and bring my own vendors. The space itself is beautiful, it's large, rustic, and raw. However it was extremely difficult to communicate with the staff as there is not one specific person to communicate with which as a bride and a coordinator can be EXTREMELY aggravating. They have most everything you need for rentals like chairs, tables, projector, even a ping pong table! However when it came time to perform the staff failed miserably at getting the projector to work and let us know we were missing a huge element that was necessary to make it happen which thankfully my maid of honor handled so smooth that I didn't even notice. I would not necessarily recommend them based on staff alone however the space itself is so beautiful that its worth it.

We got married here at the end of December. The venue was beautiful, and the staff were very accommodating and laid back. The process was very simple and a great value. I would definitely recommend having your wedding or any large event here!

We loved using this venue for our wedding. We knew we want a blank slate to be able to create a unique wedding, and use our own vendors, and Ambient provided that. We were also planning our wedding from out of state, and any questions we had were immediately answered.The staff is awesome. Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and laid-back. It was a relief to work with a venue that wasn't constantly trying to upsell us on features and just showing us what they offered. Our wedding day went off without a hitch. Everything was set up before we arrived, and everyone helped out with everything we needed.

Ambient was super flexible with changing things last minute and adjusting things to fit our day. The space came together great and they worked well with our other vendors to make sure the day was great. Paul checked in with me throughout the day/event to make sure I was happy with everything and even snuck us through the basement when we planned to walk in the cold! I would recommend this venue! Perfect empty space that will come alive with all the details you want to add! And we got gorgeous photos because the lighting is a photographers dream!
